College Avenue (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using collegeavenue.in or our free tools, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)

College Avenue (Partnership at Will), registered office: A-10, Netaji Subhas Enclave, Mancheswar, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Odisha – 751017, India. We act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.

2. What personal data we collect

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone / WhatsApp number, city.
• Education profile: country of interest, field & level of study, budget, NEET score (optional), IMAT mock-test answers and scores.
• Enquiry content: any message you send us.
• Technical & usage data: device, browser, approximate location and pages viewed, collected via cookies and analytics only after you consent (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we collect it

Directly from you through our contact and counselling forms, event registrations, and free tools (College Arena, the IMAT mock test); through WhatsApp and email when you reach out; and automatically via cookies/analytics where you have given consent.

4. Why we use it (purposes)

• To respond to your enquiry and provide study-abroad counselling.
• To share relevant information about programs, universities, scholarships and events.
• To operate, improve and secure our website and tools.
• For marketing and remarketing communications — only where you have consented.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

5. Consent & your choice

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 9) without affecting processing already carried out. Withdrawing consent for essential processing may mean we can no longer provide certain services.

6. Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel. These run under Google Consent Mode and load only after you accept the relevant cookie categories in our consent banner. Full detail and controls are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Who we share it with (Data Processors)

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf: Google (Apps Script, Sheets, Analytics, Ads), Supabase (event registrations) and Meta Platforms (advertising). These providers may store data on servers outside India under their own contractual and security commitments.

8. How long we keep it (Retention)

We retain your personal data for 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law.

9. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to: access a summary of your data and how it is processed; correct, complete or update it; request erasure; nominate another person to exercise your rights; and seek grievance redressal. To exercise any right, email admin@collegeavenue.in. We will respond within a reasonable period.

10. Children & minors

Many of our users are prospective students. If you are under 18, you may use our services and free tools only with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly process a minor's personal data without such consent, and we do not undertake tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, but we work to protect your information.
